Create and Sing Carmen with the Royal Opera House

Free training for Primary Schools

Friday 9th June 2017, 9.30 – 16.00

The Sands Resort, Newquay (lunch provided)

The Cornwall Music Education Hub is excited to be working with the Royal Opera House to offer a free one day workshop for teachers to introduce their new resource for schools – Create and Sing Carmen.  Based on Bizet’s opera, Carmen, this programme has been developed to engage children with storytelling through dramatic singing and to equip their teachers with the skills and confidence to deliver in their classroom

This one day workshop will provide teachers with all the materials of the Create and Sing Carmen programme (songs, games and warm ups as well as a 10 lesson scheme of work), strategies for classroom singing plus participants will learn from a director about staging and how to present dramatic singing pieces.

In addition to offering this training for free, the Hub will pay £50 per school towards supply costs.

To book, please contact the Hub office –
