If you are in need of a new instrument but need help spreading the cost then the Arts Council’s ‘Take It Away’ scheme may be able to help. The scheme aims to make musical instruments more accessible to children and young people by providing interest free loans of up to £5,000 for the purchase of instruments.
The scheme is open to adults buying an instrument for a child under the age of 18, as well as 18-25 year olds who can apply in their own right. The scheme is available through a network of over 300 local music shops across England.
