RE-RITE, the Philharmonia Orchestra’s immersive digital installation, creates a life-size virtual orchestra using projections of the Orchestra performing Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring on high-resolution screens accompanied by hi-definition audio. Filmed using 29 high definition cameras, the installation enables the audience to conduct, play and step inside the orchestra. From playing along with the percussion section to controlling every section of the orchestra from the conductor’s podium, the installation provides a unique insight into what it is to be part of a world-class orchestra performing one of the twentieth-century’s iconic pieces of music.
The RE-RITE Explainer is pivotal to the delivery of a positive visitor experience. The position involves interacting with the public to provide information and instruction to enhance visitor understanding and enjoyment. A professional, welcoming and informative approach is vital.
The role requires someone with strong communication and social skills and the ability to enrich and bring to life the visitor experience of the installation in an informative, interactive, and fun way.
