First lady of the Airpiano comes to Cornwall

On Wednesday 7 November Jo Hamilton the British composer, multi-instrumentalist and pioneer of the Airpiano will be in concert at The Performance Centre, University College Falmouth.

The Always Heading West tour launched in London with Jo Hamilton and a full band, and has been followed by sell out dates in Rome and Milan before stopping in Falmouth for a one off performance in Cornwall. With progressive folk sounds and an enchanting voice it’s no surprise Jo Hamilton is rapidly rising to fame across the music world.

Jo is also the first artist to pioneer the use of the Airpiano, a non-contact electronic instrument developed by Berlin-based inventor Omer Yosha. She has supported Damien Rice, been broadcast on BBC’s World Service, and contributed to Kirsty McGee’s first album.

Her official debut album ’Gown’ received 4 star reviews in the UK from Mojo, Rock n Reel, The Independent and The Independent on Sunday.

She will be performing some tracks on the Airpiano at Falmouth.
