Interested in leading a choir?

We are looking for an experienced freelance singer or music teacher with choral leading experience to lead the Cornwall Girls Choir Satellite rehearsal group based in Hayle.

Cornwall Girls Choir is an auditioned choir for girls in year 5 upwards. Currently 80 singers sing in the full choir which is organised through regional satellite rehearsal groups across the county. The Hayle CGC group is a small satellite group of singers that feeds into the full choir which meets monthly in Truro.

The work will primarily be based in Hayle approximately one hour every two weeks and as well some Saturday afternoons throughout the year assisting with full choir rehearsals in Truro.

Elementary piano skills would be beneficial but are not a pre-requisite.

The successful candidate will need to have a strong choral background including good vocal technique and some conducting skills.

The successful candidate must have a current enhanced DBS check and be registered self-employed. The hourly rate for leading the choir is £30 and massed rehearsals are paid at £25 per hour.
