The Cornwall Music Education Hub Annual Conference in conjunction with Cymaz Music
2nd October at Heartlands
Every Autumn the Cornwall Music Education Hub offers a local conference for both school music staff and local community practitioners. This one day event not only provides an excellent networking opportunity, but also has a programme of inspiring speakers and practical workshops which enable practitioners to develop and refresh their skills.
This year's conference is being delivered in partnership with Cymaz Music.

Workshops:
• An introduction to the new BBC Ten Pieces for Secondary Schools
• Music Technology - using Ableton live
• Vocal Strategy – Encouraging boys to sing
• Women write music too! A session focussing on female composers and gender equality in music
• First Access: next steps – how to build on the success of your initial free sessions
• How to make better use of your classroom percussion with the BSO
• The new GCSE Music Curriculum and preparing your students for BTEC and A Level
• Using rounds to create a class piece of music
• Breaking down barriers – learning from Exchanging Notes - a workshop on differentiation and inclusion in the classroom
Timings - 9.15 am – 3.00 pm (registration and refreshments from 8.30)
