Autumn Hub Conference - 14th October 2016

Cornwall Music Education Hub Conference

The annual Hub conference will be taking place on 14^th October 2016 at the Sands Resort in Newquay.

We are pleased to confirm that our Guest Speaker will be Professor Susan Hallam, MBE, Professor of Education and Music Psychology at the Institute of Education, University of London and a powerful advocate for the importance of music.

In addition, there will be a programme of practical workshops for teachers and music leaders who work with both primary and secondary students:

- Composition (for primary and secondary)

- How to use musical notation in primary settings

- Music Technology to support musical learning

- Introduction to Taiko

- Introduction to Gamelan

- Exploring the new Music GCSE/BTEC Curriculum

- Assessment without levels (Secondary)

Cost - £65 (includes lunch) or £40 for small schools (under 100 pupils), second delegates and freelance music practitioners
