BBC Music Day comes to Cornwall
On Friday 3rd June, Cornwall will be in the spotlight as BBC Music celebrates its second annual BBC Music Day.
The Cornwall Music Education Hub has partnered with BBC Music, White River Place, St Austell Bay Radio and St Austell Town BID to offer a day of free interactive music making workshops and performances from 10.30 until 5.00 in St Austell Town Centre. The Rig, a team of professional musicians and experienced workshop leaders, will be bringing their fun and creative installations to White River Place which will allow visitors to explore weird and wonderful ways of making music. Local brass specialist, Anna Minear, will offering a free introductory brass workshop for visitors to try out learning a brass instrument. And for those who prefer singing, there will be the opportunity to take part in the Big Cornish Sing in Aylmer Square at 3.00.
