Calling all young composers!

GO COMPOSE!

WITH BOURNEMOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra are calling composers aged 12-18 to submit an original composition with the hopes of being selected to attend a two day Go Compose! workshop on 17 & 18 February 2017 at Lighthouse, Poole.

Supported by composer-in-residence Hywel Davies and musicians from Kokoro (BSO’s new music group), successful applicants will write new pieces for cello and flute. The two days will culminate with a performance of each piece being professionally recorded. Additionally, participants will get to experience some elements of BSO Composers Day featuring Mark-Anthony Turnage

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 16 NOVEMBER 2016

How to take part:
 Post us a printed example of a composition you have written (of any orchestration and any length) attached with a completed application form, downloadable from the BSO website - www.bsolive.com

 Scores must be received by Wednesday 16 November 2016

Rules:
- Entrants must be aged 12-18 and reside in the UK
- Only one submission per person
- Please include a stamped envelope if you would like your score returned
- Successful composers will be required to provide own travel, food and accommodation expenses
