Hire of individual instruments

The Cornwall Music Education Hub has a large pool of instruments which may be hired by any individual or organisation, depending on availability. The termly hire fee is between £21.60 and £38.40 (including VAT) and instruments can be hired can be up to four terms, at which point they are usually recalled, serviced and made available to other students. We believe this hire period provides sufficient time for parents and carers to be certain of their child’s commitment and investigate purchasing their own instrument.

*Delivery - A £9.00 (inc VAT) delivery/collection charge will automatically be added to the cost of the first term’s hire, therefore please include on your cheque. We will be unable to send out your instrument if this fee is not included. Instruments will be delivered to and collected from your child's school by courier. Please include

Subsidised Hire

Students in receipt of Free School Meals, Children in Care and children of Services Families can apply for a 50% subsidy on their instrument hire fee. Please indicate on your instrument hire form if your child is eligible for this.

Returning an instrument?

If you wish to return an instrument which you have hired from us, please take the instrument to your child's school reception and email us at [email protected] with the following details so that we can log the return and organise collection:
