The CMEH supports teachers in school as well as other music educators by offering a range of training opportunities throughout the year. Training is usually arranged based on demand, therefore if you have any specific training requests or ideas, please let us know!

Skill development support for school staff

In addition to large scale performance events, cluster projects and training programmes, the Hub has commissioned a small team of music specialists to work with schools and support the skill development of their teachers:

Vocal Support

Vocal Strategy Lead - Angela Renshaw

The Hub's Vocal Strategy Lead. Angela Renshaw, and her team of vocal specialists visit schools, both primary and secondary, to develop their singing activities and help schools to set up their own choirs. Contact the Hub office to arrange for support from Angela or her team - [email protected]

VOICES Twilight Meetings

Angela Renshaw will again be offering free Twilight Vocal Support Meetings as part of the CMEH Vocal Strategy. We would like to invite vocal leaders and music co-ordinators from both Primary and Secondary Schools to attend. The meetings will focus on the Cornwall Singing Schools Awards.

Primary Support

We have commissioned Music Curriculum specialists to work with schools, either through projects or one off training visits (eg INSET). If you would like to arrange for one of these specialists to visit your school, please email them directly or contact the Hub Manager, [email protected]

The purpose of these meetings is to update schools on what support and projects are available plus they offer an opportunity to share resources.
