The Chris Treglown Award
The Chris Treglown Foundation Fund was set up in memory of Cornish singer, Chris Treglown, who was tragically killed in a car accident in 2012. The Chris Treglown Fund is intended to act as a valuable resource for aspiring singers between the ages of 16-26.
This year £1000 per recipient will be made available for:
-costs toward singing lessons
-purchase of sheet music and related books
-attendance fee and/or travel costs for musical workshops and masterclasses
-costs toward audition attendance
-costs toward college tuition fees
This year this amount will be awarded to two applicants - one from Cornwall and one from MJ-UK Music and Arts based in Gloucestershire. MJ-UK Music & Arts is where Chris was developing his singing and performance skills
who can apply for an Award?
Cornish Applicants - must live full-time in Cornwall and attend a Cornish school or full-time Cornish education institution. However we are keen to hear from Cornish candidates who may be already studying at a specialist college or university outside of Cornwall
